R.I.N.O. = Republican In Name Only

"The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men."
-Plato

In recent years, many (so-called) Republican Politicians have taken a

HARD LEFT TURN.

They have supported many actions that undermine or directly attack the strength of the family.

For example, Idaho and Utah RINOs have:

  • voted for more availability and funding for abortions,
  • fought against the effort to preserve traditional marriage and traditional families,
  • avidly promoted the appointment of extreme liberals to the U.S. Supreme Court,
  • taken advantage of their position for financial gain,
  • supported "No-fault divorce" which makes marriage "for better or for worse, as long as you both shall feel like it",
  • been named among the nations "Most Corrupt Members of Congress"!

An open letter from www.KnowYourRINO.com

On Nov 7th, many candidates and issues will be voted on.  But one question is more important than all the others.  This question is hidden within every ballot in the nation.  “Will you vote to support the Constitution of the United States???”

Our Constitution was created to specify, and therefore limit, the powers extended to the Federal Government.  I recently viewed a Government website which listed all of the Federal Government Agencies.  The total was around 1,200 separate agencies!  Nearly all of these have no Constitutional justification, and are therefore an Unconstitutional usurpation of power!

Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution specifies that only Congress has the power to declare war.  They have not done so since World War II!  Therefore, all wars we have engaged in since that time (a “just cause” or not) are a violation of the Constitution.

The list of violations to the Constitution could fill volumes, and both major political parties are contributing almost daily to this erosion.  Although they mean well, our National Republican Leader’s policies can be summed up as “Decrease Taxes & Increase Spending”, while their Democrat counterparts are “Increase Taxes & Increase Spending”!  Both lead to a bigger government.  The majority of leaders from both major parties refuse to be governed by the Constitution (this includes the Legislative, Executive and the Judicial branches).  As Thomas Jefferson said, “The course of history shows that as a government grows, liberty decreases.”

Are we familiar enough with the Constitution to know when it is being violated?  The vast majority of Americans are not!

Are we familiar enough with our leaders voting records to know which of them sustain the Constitution?  The vast majority of Americans are not!

Did you know, none of Utah’s US Senators and US House Reps are ranked as voting Constitutionally even 50% of the time?

As a simple guide to the proper, constitutional role of Government, the Declaration of Independence states that we are endowed by [our] Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That, to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed."

And from the Alabama State Constitution, “The sole object and only legitimate end of government is to protect the citizen in the enjoyment of life, liberty, and property.  And when the government assumes other functions, it is usurpation and oppression!”  So you see, our rights don't come from government, they come from God and therefore the purpose, or the Proper Role of Government, is to secure our God-given rights.

J. Reuben Clark said this about our liberties, “Under [God’s] plan the only allegiance we owe as citizens of the United States, runs to our inspired Constitution which God himself set up … This principle of allegiance to the Constitution is basic to our freedom.  I wish to say with all the earnestness I possess that when you see any curtailment of these liberties I have named, when you see government invading any of these realms of freedom which we have under our Constitution, you will know that they are putting shackles on your liberty, and that tyranny is creeping upon you, no matter who curtails these liberties or who invades these realms, and no matter what the reason and excuse may be.

On Nov. 7th, consider first if the people you are voting for will keep their oath of office to sustain and defend the Constitution of this land.  Have they in the past?

Voting for someone who violates the Constitution is a vote to surrender our freedom!

We are not placing bets on who is most likely to win.

From Joel Skousen’s Oct 27th World Affairs Brief article HOW TO MAKE YOUR VOTE COUNT:  “Many conservatives are afraid to vote for a third party candidate for fear of "throwing their vote away" - a concept heavily emphasized by Republicans who want conservative votes, but despise a principled conservative/libertarian/constitutionalist agenda. Conservatives have fallen for this "lesser of two evils" argument for decades and what have we got to show for it? -More socialism, more war, more intervention, more globalism, more abortion, more deficits, and now a major reduction in core civil liberties.”

It is time we vote for People and Principles, not Parties.

To learn more about candidates voting records, please review our website www.knowyourrino.com.  It was designed with the vision of “Exposing Liberal Republicans” who we refer to as RINOs (Republican In Name Only).

Thank you, and may God (continue to) bless America!

P.S.  If defending the Constitution is important to you, please forward this message to everyone you can!  We the people have the power to reverse this trend and preserve this nation!

And for those who respond to you with disdain for our inspired Constitution, and desire not to preserve our freedom:

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." -- Samuel Adams
