Our Legal Immigration Crisis

We have an immigration problem; not just an illegal immigration problem. Even our legal immigration is problematic! To understand this, consider the dramatic change in the motivation driving the immigration!

Immigrants that made America great!

In times past, people came to America at great sacrifice, only seeking freedom! Freedom from religious persecution. The freedom to worship God according to their own conscience. The freedom of property ownership. The freedom to succeed and prosper. The freedom to fail!

They left behind their homeland, their past nationalities, their past citizenship. They were not German-Americans, Italian-Americans, or English-Americans. They were Americans! They came to enjoy America’s freedom, and they were willing to fight and die in defense of their new home, their new freedom!

Immigrants that weaken America!

All too often, today’s immigrant isn’t coming for religious and economic freedom. They are coming for money! They are seeking better jobs, Social Security, Welfare, and free medical care.

They don’t leave behind their past nationality. They don’t call themselves Americans. They don’t celebrate America. They continue to wave the flag of their birth, not becoming Americans. They are foreign nationals living off our prosperity, but not increasing it.

They will fight for money, government programs, and government handouts, but not for the freedom and security of our nation. These are not patriots! They are like maggots eating away at the rotting flesh of a once free nation!

Are they to blame? Are maggots the cause of the rotting flesh? No, they are just taking advantage of a bad situation. They are merely the symptom of our internal decay. Our nation has weakened itself to attract the “maggots” of the world.

What is attracting them?

They are motivated not by religion, but by money! More specifically, they are attracted by our government handouts.

The rotting, decaying flesh that is bringing this new type of immigrant is our dying Constitutional Republic. Our once great nation has eroded into a Democracy.

Originally, our Federal Government was limited by a document known as The Constitution of the United States of America. This restricted the government to a protective role.

Beginning with President Roosevelt’s “New Deal” program, our government took on a new unconstitutional role, the redistribution of wealth. This is simply the taking from one man that which he has earned, and giving it to another man who has not earned it. This is the “rotting flesh attracting the maggots”. They are feeding on the money from our public treasury, driving us to an untimely death of bankruptcy! Once their feast is over, the remains of our once free nation will be confined in the coffin of tyranny!
