Ron Paul gave Rudy a reading list. I'd like to add one more to the list:
Perhaps Mr. Giuliani needs to read the Constitution!
US Constitution, Article 2, Section 1 states:
Before he [the President] enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation:--"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
Guiliani is given the Honorary title of Knight Commander by the Queen of England
In celebration of his “heroics” on 9/11, Rudy Giuliani was Knighted by the Queen of England.
Giuliani’s acceptance of this “Title of Nobility” directly violates Article 1, Section 9, Clause 8, which states:
"No Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State."
So, without the Consent of Congress, Giuliani is ineligible of "holding any Office of Profit or Trust"!
Why should they seek permission of Congress to receive presents and titles?
Contemporary with the Founding Fathers, William Rawle, stated in his commentary "A View of the Constitution of the United States" (1829):
"There cannot be too much jealousy in respect to foreign influence. The treasures of Persia were successfully distributed in Athens; and it is now known that in England a profligate prince and many of his venal courtiers were bribed into measures injurious to the nation by the gold of Louis XIV."
Simply, the concern was one of BRIBERY.
Further, knowing that Giuliani admitted to being forewarned that the WTC buildings were coming down, but gave no warning call to the Firefighters who were still entering the building, this implies Guiliani had blood on his hands from 9/11!
In light of this, the thoughts of Thomas Paine on titles of nobility (such as Knight) seem particularly applicable:
"When I reflect on the pompous titles bestowed on unworthy men, I feel an indignity that instructs me to despise the absurdity. 'The Honorable plunderer of his country', or 'the Right Honorable murderer of mankind', create such a contrast of ideas as exhibit a monster rather than a man. Virtue is inflamed at the violation, and sober reason calls it nonsense."
