It is rare to see such a clear contrast between "conservative" candidates!

John Goedde is one of the "swing" voters on the Marriage Amendment. In 2005, the Marriage Amendment was narrowly defeated by only 3 votes! We can blame three RINOs for this: John Goedde, Dick Compton, and Brad Little.

In 2006, he continued to oppose it as long as he had Brad Little to hide behind. Once Senator Little backed down, so did Senator Goedde.

Coeur d' Alene Press, March 16th, 2006: "Goedde angered the Kootenai County Democratic Central Committee [in February 2006] after he threatened the state teachers union with serious consequences if it ran a candidate against him." "Goedde said he told the head of the Idaho Education Association, "If you're going to shoot the bear, you'd better be sure you kill him," and said the union would have a difficult time getting its agenda through the Senate Education Committee."
